Like someone else posted, look used first. BUT, there are some suggestion on the tread. The Ruger SR1911, Remington R1's, Springfield GI, Rock Island Tactical are all good picks. I've got a couple of Rock Islands. My last one is a Tactical that I've had Ceracoated and some polishing done to and the whole package cost me less than $600.
