It's been a slow year for leatherwork, I've only finished one holster this year before these four.

This is a copy of a pattern I saw in Guns of the Old West magazine. Original made by Bianchi Frontier Gunleather for Dennis Adler. I really liked the color and stamping pattern. Needs some tweaks but I got pretty close to it. My chestnut color with an aged finish.

This one will do triple duty for the 7.5" Wrangler or Single Six, as well as the Colt percussion guns and cartridge conversions. Aged finish chestnut.

Made one for my little .44Spl Thunderer.

Californian for the Walker.

Beautiful work and amazing attention to detail. It warms my heart to see someone recreating holsters in the old styles, especially someone with so much talent for it.

They all look great. Really love the one for the thunderer. Always been partial to shorter barreled revolvers.

I really like the pattern and the look of that Californian. They all look great, but that one is my favorite of the group. Very nice work.

Superb, Craig. Stamping, edge work, 19th Century design, 'to die for' staining job and stitching that's one of a kind....Ya got it all, Pard....Rod

Thank you all for the kind words. Last year's supply debacle really put a damper on my enthusiasm. Took a while to get the inspiration back but it's nice to be back in the saddle. ;)

That snake-belly stamping is really catchy! I've not seen that elsewhere.
Well done, as always.
Snake belly, that's what I should call it. I got the idea from a couple frontier originals in Packing Iron and tweaked it a little.

Then this one has a double row, almost like snake ribs.

Which is what inspired this one.

My first thought was "snake tracks", but it definitely looks like snake belly.
I like that the trigger well isn't cut out on the second original .
I think I'm going to drag my tools out and have a go at a 3" kframe holster. I can't find what I want, and I refuse to carry a 3" gun in a 4" holster.

Excellent work as always and glad that you are back at it.The holster forum had become boring.

#2 is my pick of the litter. I have never been a fan of stamping but you make it look better than good. Much better.

Your work inspired me to try one around a year ago and it turned out much better than expected for my first attempt but it had one little problem. I misqued my pattern and the gun wouldn't go completely into it. I finally gave up and really soaked it and it was still a no go. I threw it over on top of a storage cabinet in disgust and there it remains as just a waste of Herman's Oak, thread, and time. This was my first ever too small holster. Don't know but it may be time to hang up my leather working tools just like I have put away my sketch book and drawing pencils.

#2 is my favorite as well. I really like the way the color and aging turned out.

I had one like that I did for a Bearcat. No idea how it went wrong and I don't think I ever tried another for that gun. In fact, I don't even know where my Bearcat is.

I have a couple of yours and I like them. Can you make one for a Pietta Ace?
I don't see why not. I did one for an 1851 snubby.

That's a good lookin' skin also....they always look better with a cap n ball gun.

God I need to start making gun leather again. I also need to bother you with more questions again.

I'mma take this opportunity really quickly to thank you folks for paying your taxes, you guys pay for my research, and I promise that it's not going to waste.

Thank you folks for indirectly making one of my dreams come true.
