After the last hundred or so yesterday, I am out of Fourty Five Auto.
(I hear the press downstains start wagging it's handle. He's excited. )
I put nearly a whole box of Winchester bulk hollowpoints through my Buckmark in the previous two trips. The last of it is going out in about four hours.
I fixed my Desert Eagle and fired the last hundred and fifty through that last weekend. (Oops! The press heard that too. He's stretching and yawning now.)
I get more and more bull's eyes with it now, after reading
@ATLDave's thread on flinching. The Eagle caused it and the Eagle will fix it!
Dang you Reptile Brain!
(It was remarkable to start with my 1911 and have center hits and run the gun and then realize only the Eagle makes me blink...)
I'll take my Valkyrie out today with the Buckmark. I have some (yuck) factory ammo to try in it. If that doesn't work I'll have to try reassembly. It shoots like crap. And it is my most expensive setup. Of course.
(He just yipped at the word factory. I know, I dont like it either...)
Today will be gorgeous just like yesterday. We are at the height of Autumn in West Michigan. The clay was moist, the Herons took flight, off the marsh, with the first pistol shot.
I stood in one Deer bed and saw my cases were landing right in another. No lost brass today!
The grass frogs dove for the deep as I walked by. They better eat quick, its going to be cold soon!
I picked up an empty beer box and some glass. Threw the glass in the truck and a target on the box, in buisness!
Which is good. I forgot my target holder stick.
There is a two-track back to the Haymarsh dam. It had rained quite a bit this week and I also got to get my truck a little muddy! (No sense in washin' a clean truck...)
Perhaps the flatlanders will go home and I can use the cabin field in the evening for some pigeon thowing. We'll see. They are super nice, but way to dangerous for me to shoot with.
I have kids.
I can blast some water jugs with the Bushmaster over there...
Ok. I've got to go see whats wrong. He heard "Bushmaster" and just loves those big cases. He's scratching to get out and press lead. I'll have to deprime some Fifty A.E. to hold him over till tonight...
Get out and enjoy the weather, y'all! Sunday is gun day!
