Just purchased a Tac Sol Cascade Ti that will go on my Ruger 22/45 and maybe a Buckmark. Now am debating a host-rifle. Kinda like to keep this around $3-$400 or less.

The Kel-Tec SU-22 is about what I'm looking for, and it's already threaded for 1/2-28 AND it takes the same mags that the Ceiner-Atchisson AR adapter.

How are these? The reliability reports I've found have been hit or miss.

Other options are getting a SW 15-22 and having it threaded, or something else. I'm not stuck on the AR platform, I have an AR and love it, but don't necessarily have to have a .22 version. Not interested in the 10/22 or Colt/Umarex or Remington .22s. (Could have my Model 60 or 452 threaded, but what's the fun in that?)

Suggestions? Sig or Walther?

Ordered a Sig today, along with some BDM 26 round mags from 44mag.com. Need to find some drums.

Went with the Sig because reviews seem good, seem to eat anything, uses standard Atchisson mags, and it's already threaded 1/2-28 for my .22 can. If the Smith had been threaded and didn't use proprietary magazines I might have went that route.

I just bought a Smith and Wesson 15-22.....it is threaded from the factory - they have that option now, and it comes with a standard flash hider. Absolutely what I was waiting for - really makes the rifle, looks and utility wise. The threaded variant runs about 20 bucks more than the non threaded. Proprietary mags yes, but not badly priced at 17.99 each from 44Mag, and they look a lot like PMags.

I'm very very impressed so far - put 250 rounds of Winchester Super X through the other day, with not one problem, even on rapid fire. It's nicely accurate too, even with the stock iron sights, I was getting fist sized groups at 100 yards off hand.

I can't compare with any others as this is my first .22 (wish I'd got into .22 sooner by the way...my wallet is thanking me and fun factor is right up there!), but I'm very pleased with my choice so far. Looks and functions just like its bigger bro, and even breaks down like it too.

Well, it runs pretty good! Even feeds Remington Subsonic ammo. Have put about 300 rounds through it of bulk junk, Subsonics and Wildcats and haven't had a failure yet. Can screwed right on and works great.

Look at the SIGs. I have just about all of the guns mentioned above and the SIG is the best running one of them. Mine has failed to fire twice and it was the ammo, not the gun. Other than that it has been flawless. I have also run various different brands of ammo through it to see if there is something it doesn't like. Haven't found it yet.
