Hiya Guy's ...
So a Nam' vet friend that owns a working horse ranch just this side of the Oregon border heard about the Norinco AK that I picked up a couple days ago so he thought he'd touch bases with me and give me a hard time about it and remind me that she is still looking for a nice AK himself and he asked me to try and find one for him since he doesn't have too much free time these days with his Ranch and helping his neighbors and things and as he says he's up to his ass in alligators.
Anyhoo, I touched bases with the friend that I traded my VZ2008 AK to for a nice Mini-14 to find out if he was ready to sell it back to me or not and found out that he wasn't so I told him that I was looking for another AK to buy for a friend and he informed me that he had a nice AK underfolder that he thought was possibly Turkish that he might be interested in selling me instead, so I made arrangements to get a Hands-On look at it and wound up bringing it home for $640.
Other than having a nice full size milled receiver the main thing that caught my eye is that there's no make , model , import marks or stampings of any kind on the receiver or Barrel other than the s & f by the safety for safe & fire . Other than that it seems to be nicely machine and well-made & definitely worth the $ the days . After doing some looking around my best guess is that it's most likely a Serbian Zastava ( formerly Yugoslavia ) underfolder, but then again, who knows ?? ...
