A parent's duty... how come the contradiction?

Gf made me watch "Maid in Manhattan" with her today.

Ok, there's a few "messages" from the left that I don't understand..

First, the "man" is always trying to keep the [latinos, blacks, gays, lesbians, minorities etc..] down in the projects.. Of course, they actually mean "the government" their solution is to increase government, which is the one keeping them in the projects..

But here's what I don't get::

A parent considers how "safe" the neighborhood is for a child. Well... what? You want a medal for that? It's your JOB, as a parent to keep your kids as safe as possible.. (or as safe as you can afford).

So picking a safe neighborhood is "good parenting"..

BUT, if you purchase a gun for the intent of protecting your home and providing a "safe" home for your child... this is EVIL??

How do they live with this logic, or do they have no logic at all? How can they think this way, and have it not bother them?

How is 1+1=3 just perfectly fine in their world??:banghead:

They don't understand the concepts of privacy and personal property.

They think "share-and-share alike" regardless of whether or not you really WANT to share your TV, microwave, toilet, or Glock.

They don't acknowledge your right to have 100% control over what you own, whether it's a bag of chips, a six pack, or a box of 9mm.

Therefore, it's perfectly reasonable to them that the "neighborhood" children and adults will have easy, free, and reasonable access to your toilet, beer, and Glock.

Ogden Nash penned "Good fences make good neighbors," but they think that means fences that don't squeal.

Folks may try to make you think it that way, but you would be surprised at the amount of guns found in the "projects" that are held not by gangbangers, but by parents that are needing protection. Everyone there knows that the police and only a "clean up crew".

The very people they hurt is the very people they claim to want to protect..

Nope, they just have chinese subtitles.. Voiceovers suck, they really ruin a movie, as there are vocal tones that really set the mood and transmit what the actor is trying to convey..

Leftists are moral and intellectual children. They want what they want, and they want it right now. They don't think in terms of cause and effect. They don't think in terms of good and evil or right and wrong. They don't think in terms of rights and responsibilities. They're ruled by fear, ignorance, superstition, whimsy, and more fear.

We expect that sort of behavior of small children, and gradually teach them to become adults. Leftists are overgrown children.

It's the same conclusion I reached with the Steyr pistol debates; there are just people who shouldn't own steyrs. It doesn't matter how much I try to sell them the facts that Steyrs are as safe as any other pistol.

I think the contradictions are so great in what the liberals think and what they do; but I think they do speak some truth. They are so irrationally fearful of a gun that being close to the cryptonite that is the gun, will make them weak and MORE irrational in their behavior. If that is what they conclude, I have to take their word for it and conclude, they have proven (to me at least) that they shouldn't own guns..

There will be a natural segregation, that will be obvious... Water seeks it's own level, as do people. Those who want to be sheeple, will be, those who don't won't be.
