About how many times can you reload 44-40 brass

Thinking about getting a lever gun and have no experience with this caliber.

I know about the thin neck.

Cowboy loads probably 200-205 grain lead most likely Unique powder.
 
A lot of variables go into the answer to the OP's question. The thin brass along with firm crimp required with rifle loading and most probably a heavier load due to the longer barrel for accuracy. This equates to 3 or 4 for the ones I reload for my brother. Depending on your chamber it may be a bit diffefent.
 
Starline brass seems to last one or two more leadings than others. Winchester being the shortest lived in my experience.
