Hello, I would like to add a semi-auto .308 to my small collection of range-toys, and I was wondering if one of these would be more inherently accurate than the other. I realize that both are quality rifles and are probably equally reliable. The HK is a little more expensive but it is, after all, "pre-ban" and the mags are cheaper... The AR-10 is easier and cheaper to accesorize, but is not as "collectable" (scarce) as the HK. There are many pro's and con's for each, so it comes down to inherent accuracy. Any difference in the two if I do my part on the bench?

Any input would be appreciated!

AR10s are made in everything from Standard to Match Grade.

A HK91 will compete with a Standard.

I personally don't care much for the AR10. They can sometimes be fussy and mags are expensive. However if you are looking for a GREAT .308 with accuracy as a prime consideration, look at the DSA FAL.
