Which gun is more accurate? Also, does the Springfield with the stainless slide rust as much as the blackened?

I like the XD. Because of it's backstrap safety, they made the trigger lighter and crisper than the Glock trigger. I sold my only Glock because I couldn't get comfortable with the mushy, heavy trigger on it.

Haven't tried the Glock, but my XD9 with CCI Blazer 115 gr fmj ammo has given me sub 2 inch groups at 27 yards from a rest. Can't complain!

FWIW,

I shoot my Glocks very well, I've only shot the XD9 once, but I didn't like it at all, and I found my Glock 19/26 to be more accurate. YMMV.

Both pistols are very accurate and will serve you well. For the money the XD9 will take good care of your wallet and you'll have a few more boxes of ammo to play with from the money you save.

I like the stock triggers on the XD9s better than the Glocks....but put a aftermarket trigger on the Glock and its one hell of a sweeet shooter!

I grew up with 1911's....

..so I tend to shoot the XD better due to its grip angle. Otherwise, if I shoot it from the rest accuracy is the same.
Definitely get the stainless one if its for carry.

Glocksrock, it sounds like you may be a little biased with a name like that. I've owned both I only own the XD now enough said!

I would expect both guns to have about the same accuracy when shot from a bench or a machine rest. Practical accuracy (the ability of the gun and shooter to get fast center hits) is an individual matter. The two guns differ greatly in trigger action and grip angle.
