I would love a accurate semi auto .223, and would be willing to spend around $1500 on it after I sell some guns to purchase this one. I was looking at the Sig 556 swat because I really like the way they look but everything I read says their accuracy is terrible. I would like it to look nice and be shoot nicer. I am not a huge fan of the bull barrels because to me they are way to front heavy so they are out. But I was wondering if there is anything in the $1500 price range that would be like the bushmaster PMR or even a sig 556 swat that was accurate. I would be happy with 1 MOA maybe even 1.5 but nothing less for sure. I have a springfield M1A scout squad that shoots great I just dont like how it fits me. That will shoot 1 inch groups all day but LIke i said im looking for the sharp shooting looking semi auto. Thanks and I appreciate the help.

The Sig isn't meant for extreme accuracy, and even though they make a DMR version it's not really a precision rifle either. Mine, a SWAT model, shoots about 1.0 MOA, but not all of them are quite that good. The AR platform can be awesome. I have a LaRue OBR that shoots under 0.5MOA on a repeatable basis (minimum of 5 shot groups at 100yds). I wrote a review of it on here a while back. It's $500 over your price range though at $2,000.

I am happy with my SWAT, but if I'm after extreme accuracy I grab the LaRue.

Since you mentioned looks, here's a couple pictres. The LaRue review is at this link. http://www.thehighroad.org/showpost.php?p=6840676&postcount=25

Not saying that it is typical but I get 1MOA out of my S&W M&P15OR model that cost me all of $600. This using Federal XM193F. I'm confident that that can be improved considerably with handloads and premium bullets.

Okie thanks a bunch for the website its awesome. They have a lot of stuff and actually an upper that I think with fit the bill. I am very excited now of building a very accurate AR rifle. I see the website says that the gun can shoot 1/2 inch groups which would sure make me happy. any advice for lowers?

How would a Colt CAR a3 do for accuracy? It has a bull barrel though.

Here is a 500 yard group from my RRA Standard Stainless (HBAR). It is sub 3/4 MOA:
