The Remington 7615 is a fine pump-action rifle in .223 that takes AR-15 magazines. I bought one with iron sights at a gun show for about $330 in 2006. A few months ago, I gave it to my oldest son, and then I immediately bought another for $1200 !!! Anyway, the one I gave my son had factory iron sights, but the only one I could find has no sights. All there is is a five-inch long rail over the receiver. So, my question for you: Would you trust a gunsmith to add sights, or would you just stick to the rail and use optics or ??? Personally, I like sights that don't need batteries and don't break.

Should be an easy job for even a medium gunsmith.

Mine has the Wilson/Scattergun Tech ghost ring sight. Many of them came this way if you were looking for something more useable.

Depends on the gunsmith. I had one install ghost ring sights on a Remington 870 and ended up with the rear sight cocked off to one side by a fairly significant amount. Ask around and make sure he/she knows what they're doing.

If you're only planning on using it during daytime, just mount a 1-4 scope. Doesn't have to be illuminated. I have the ghost rings. I put on a rail to do just what I said. Haven't gotten around to it yet because I'm trying to get a couple ARs finished the way I want them.
