Adjusting take-up and trigger weight on XD40

Anyone know where I can get detailed instructions on reducing the take-up and weight on a SA XD40???

P.S. Before you get all "you need to know what you are doing to do that" or "take it to a gunsmith" on me, forget it. I am plenty capable with my hands and have 'smithed on several guns in my years on this planet with very favorable results. Thanks...
