adverse weather mausers

went to the woods today with a buddy. It was a light rain all day and so much fun !!
We were shooting three-8x57 mauser battle rifles, a German M98k, and two Yugo M48's.
Groups were hovering around 2"-4" @ 100 yards in the rain with open sights.
Those mausers are awesome, they were right at home in the adverse conditions.
We kept the action going, with a 30-30, a .375 Winchester and a couple of single action revolvers
(Ruger Blackhawk's) in .45 colt, & .41 mag.

What a great day!

Too right. Mausers are made for battlefield conditions, not to be safe queens.

my mauser likes the rain... and the sunshine... and the snow... most of all it likes killing deer.. and its very good at it

I've shot all my mil-surps in the rain. The soldiers using them had to. Rain never stopped any wars. Glad you had fun!
