Yes I have tried them... I have never had a 15 round mag fail and I have never had a 30 round mag work properly. But- I have not tested with the M2 magazine catch yet, so my opinion is not fully established yet.

I bought two of them a few years ago for my Universal carbine. they seem to feed just fine but they do fit very tightly compared to any other mags that i have.

I have bought that exact 30 round magazine.

I loaded it to the top with 30 rounds and it worked great no problems.

I have a type two mag catch, it has an M on it.
It's not underlined and their is no extra support leg.

Thanks for the comebacks. Results seem a little divided as far as function and fit.

Anybody else have personal experience with these mags?

I have two of these mags that I bought around 2011. They seem to work fine. I don't have any USGI 30 rounders to compare to, but I believe that the few malfunctions I had were because of my worn extractor, since the exact same malfunction occurs on my USGI 15 rounders. I'd buy more.

I have an AO carbine and the exact opposite has been true for me. The stock 15 rd mag was out of spec and junk so I bought a couple cheap pro mags and they've been flawless. The AO has the M2 magazine catch that holds the bolt open after the last shot which is a bonus on the AO.

I have good luck with the Korean 15 round mags that are widely available in my Inland USGI Carbine.

Have bought 6 of the 15 round and 6 of the 30 round Korean mags and they have all worked great in my Saginaw.

"The AO has the M2 magazine catch that holds the bolt open after the last shot which is a bonus on the AO. "

AOs are supposed to be GI spec. Magazine catch has nothing to do with holding open the bolt.

The M2 magazine or 30 round magazine had a different follower than the original 15 rounders. It is the M2 follower in the 30 round M2 Magazine itself that holds the bolt open after the last shot

The carbine does not have a sepperater bolt stop as on many other rifles. You may lock the blot to the rear using the little button on the operating rod handle but there is no bolt stop mechanically pushed into position by the operation of the empty magazine.

I just want to say "thanks" for all of these reviews. I bought an Inland M1 in late June and I need to get it some 30 round magazines. The originals are very pricey, so it's good to know that the Korean 30 round magazines are good. I guess it's not surprising, given how many M1's they have.

"...never had a 30 round mag work properly..." Try tweaking the lips open a wee bit. The one 30 rounder I have didn't feed properly until I did that. Fine, long, needled nosed pliers and just a tiny bit over the whole length of the lip.
"New production Military Spec" is a marketing term. For $13 you can try one and not be out a huge pile of money. AIM says the same thing about the 15 round mags they sell too.

Again, thanks to all who responded with their experiences.

Just bought one from Aim, now to get to the range to try it. If it works well in my Underwood, more will be purchased.

I noticed that the follower on the magazine has the top fold end cut off, appears to be a hold open device.

I hear good things about the korean mags. I'd like to try one, but $10 shipping on a $12 mag is a deal killer for me.

From personal experience with KCI (Korean) M-1 Carbine magazines, both 15 round & 30 round...

They have been 100% reliable with my (USGI) Underwood M-1 Carbine with M2 magazine release.

KCI had been making M-1 Carbine magazines for the ROK Military since the 1980s.
The ROK Military still has about 1 million service ready USGI M-1 Carbines in stores for use with reserves/civil defense in case North Korea invades.

Sorry this took a while, but I finally got to the range and I'm happy to report the Aim Korean 30 round magazine worked flawlessly in my '43 Underwood Carbine. It's a GI bring back with no parts changed from original.

Fit was good, and it worked without a hiccup. Last round hold open is a nice plus lacking on the GI 15 rounders. Very pleased with my $13 purchase.

A lot of times how well a magazine works depends on the wear and tear on your gun and magazine catch.

Someone will come along and say those XXX magazines are all crap when it's their gun out of spec. (And, yes, that someone was probably me a long while back. I live and learn)

It's good to hear they worked for you. I've asked my father and brother how well they have worked for them. They both said great,so that's 15+ mags between the 3 of us with no issues.
