Air Gun Replicas

Probably one of the best co2 replica airguns ever produced

Amen that. I too had one of those back many years ago. It rode in the rod locker of my bass boat many a day, for those times when the fish weren't cooperating. My wife and I used it to shoot sticks, leaves and such floating in the river. It was a hoot. No idea what happened to it.

The Crosman came in. It's not marketed as a Beretta Cheetah replica though as you can see it looks remarkably like one. I'm fairly sure the Gletcher model that is marketed as a Beretta Cheetah replica is just this rebranded Crosman for another $20.

So fary only complaint is the safety is in a different place than the Beretta, but otherwise it feels and handles the same. This one is a CO2 BB pistol rather than a pellet gun like the Beretta 92fs replica I bought. As it's for defensive shooting practice at 21ft or less I suspect it'll be accurate enough.

Now if life would cut me some slack so that I can *shoot* the darn things I'll be set! I'm not buying any more CO2 pistols unless and until these two prove their worth. If they do then maybe a good 1911 replica and perhaps a revolver...

Found a Crosman CO2 BB pistol that looks remarkably like a Beretta Cheetah (Model 81/84) for my wife to practice with. It hasn't come in yet. For close in defensive shooting practice I am expecting good things.

That one was offered under the "Swissarms" name before, as the "Blackwater." I have one. The trigger rivals one on the Polish P64. It's brutal. It's also always in DA-mode, not DA/SA, like on the Beretta. Good, solid pistol, otherwise, and a pretty straight shooter for a smoothbore.

I started out with the little Colt Defender. It does pretty good in the replica department except for the trigger which is a heavy rascal. Then I got a M&P. It feels like the real thing and has great sights. It is very light with a very heavy trigger. Moving on I got a Desert Eagle pellet pistol which was a nice surprise having a good trigger and being very accurate. It's drawback is being a gas hog. From there I have gone on to the Colt SAA, Remington 1875, and an 8" barreled Dan Wesson, all which are close to the real thing. The Colt and Remington are the shiny version and I wound up masking the top of the frame, barrel, and front sight off and spray painting them with flat back paint as it was impossible to the the sights outside.

The most fun thing I own in the airgun catagory is a DPMS full auto SBR with a red dot sight. The fun along with BBs and CO2 lasts only seconds on full auto. This thing gets rid of both in a hurry but It is a hoot to shoot. It will chew a coke can all to pierces in no time at all.

Just recently I acquired this airgun (airsoft) replica of a Ruger LCP made by Tokyo Marui, to supplement my summer CCW training. I'm impressed, it feels exactly like the real gun in hand, and the trigger is similar as well! Much to my surprise, this little airsoft gun is pretty accurate, and has decent range. It will be a great tool for added training in the back yard or garage. Specifically for drawing from the holster, moving, and getting rounds on target. Things I can't do with live fire on the static range.

I never thought I would see airsoft replicas hitting the market of tiny concealed carry pistols. Most people want full size handguns, but I'm happy to see airsoft manufacturers getting into these!

It really is amazing at how good they are.

Several years ago I bought a 1911 for the same thing. At the time I was playing a game and used my "real" 1911 in that game, even with reloading it was eating me alive, so I wanted something cheaper to shoot. Looked at the BB guns and bought a nice full sized 1911, it really is very nice. Like you said they feel the same, both in weight trigger, fit my holster, even installed my sights on the BB gun. It did work the slide as well and I came to learn that really eats the CO2. I still shoot it from time to time, and it comes out for family get to gethers but for training I went with a rimfire.

These things are really good guns, and like you said great tools.
