Alright folks, which is more important...

I'd like a gun-mounted light that points upward at about a 30 degree angle. That way you can hold the gun pointed at the floor, and illuminate whatever you want without needing to point the gun at it.

BWAHAHAHA! Reminded me of Dizzy Gillespie. :p

I like hand held lights. Night sights are useful only up to the time you have to fire the gun. After the first muzzle flash you won't see them anymore if your eyes are dark adapted.

Funny, but I was thinking something more like this:

Are essential in low light conditions, muzzle flash will not rob you of your NS, if ammo chosen properly. Some of you need to shoot at night and often to see what works and don't. Opinion alone will get you hurt. Flash light is essential in full or nearly full dark. Miss use will leave you night blind as it will your adversary. NS will aid you with aligning on your target in all less than favorable lighting. Laser's have there place as well. In belly close work, NS will be to your advantage if you do attempt to aquire your sights. Any night work, wether light gun mtd or using other techniques, your finger should never be on trigger and lights are used sparingly. Any of you that haven't shot at night and low light, please don't wait until neccessary to learn, you won't like the experience. Try your carry ammo in low light to see the effects of muzzle flash, you may want to try a different ammo with a lower flash. IMHO.
