The SR9 is still not fully ambi because the slide stop is only on the left side of the pistol.

My Army range officer told me when I told him I was left handed to “deal with it” and that is what I have been doing ever since. I am more ambidextrous than my guns.

Much of the German army and a good many German and Dutch police carried Walther P38 and P5 that eject to the left. Seems not to have been a problem.

Beretta PX4 Compact has the slide release and the safety/decocker on both sides. Takedown lever is right-handed.

Note that the full size PX4 has the ambidextrous safety/decocker, but the slide release only on the left side.

But that slide release is RH only.
I never use the slide release in a combat scenario. I always pull the slide slide back and release. This is what is taught at the better schools. My additional reason is that I own many pistols with differing controls, pulling back the slide works on them all.
