I'm thinking of buying a CZ 75 Compact Semi Automatic Handgun.

It is a 9mm with a 3.9" Barrel .

Has 14 Round mags

Black Plastic Grips

and Satin Nickel Finish.

Does this gun come with a ambidextrous safety?

Are night sights available ?

Is this gun DA/SA?

Does this gun have a decocker ?

Are Mags, grips, holsters easy to find?

Thanks for your help

Does this gun come with a ambidextrous safety? No Right side only.

Are night sights available ? Night sights are available but not a factory option

Is this gun DA/SA? DA/SA

Does this gun have a decocker ? No Decocker

Are Mags, grips, holsters easy to find? All of the above are easy to find.

CZ has a funny way of offering similar guns with completely different model names. If the decocker is important, then check out the CZ P-01. Typically, when the decocker is present on a CZ then the safety is gone; it's one or the other.

@ fwobbly you're correct - that's what I do with my Sig's :)

Thanks for all your input and the websites to go check out.

I ordered one today from cheaper than dirt and it is a great price $494.

Item #13657 - CZ 75 Compact Semi Automatic Handgun 9mm 3.9" Barrel 14 Rounds Black Plastic Grips Satin Nickel Finish

Now I can't wait until it gets here :D
Thanks again for the help.

You have good taste in handguns. I ordered the all black version from Bud's last week. I hate waiting too. Mark

+1 bikerdoc

I've been looking at these CZ's for about a year.

Then I saw the one I bought for that sale price and I couldn't wait any longer.

Can these be made to be single action with a "cocked and locked" feature? The way I understand it, a traditional CZ75 with SA/DA and a decocker can be modified to be this way, and even a single action trigger added.

The compact doesn't have a decocker. It can be cocked and locked. It can also be made to be single action only. Mark

I bought a 75 compact a while ago and liked everything about it except the trigger. I just got it back from Bill Springfield who did his $59 trigger job on it, now I like everything about it.

I picked mine up last night and it's a beautiful gun.

But the trigger kinda sucks.

Who is Bill Springfield?

How do I get hold of him.

I post pictures and a range report after I go to the range.

This gun has a very interesting "safety" system.

In the owners manual it states -

"The only time the manual safety is engaged is if you want to carry it in condition 1 (cocked & Locked)".

You 1911 guys can relate to that.

The rest of the time

"the hammer should rest on the action or safety thumb of the hammer".

"the manual safety can not be applied when the hammer is not cocked"

I like this "Safety" system.

There is a safety 1/2 cock position - which is how I will carry it.
