American Select Powder in .45 ACP - experiences

Anybody have experience with this? Loading 230g FMJ's. Alliant site says 6.0g, which seems pretty hot. Thanks.

Why do you say it seems hot? Have you loaded and shot that combo yet? AS is a great powder IME. I’ve mostly loaded it in 9mm though.

You understand that their published loads are max, right? Reduce 10% for your starting load. So try 5.4ish and see what you think.
