not sure if this is the forum to ask this but I have been seaching for a source for cheap ammo. I run about 300 rounds of 45 a day through my Kimber and another 200 through my AK. (Yeah I shoot a lot)

Walmart is the same price as my local gunshop, and afer looking on the net for weeks I haven't found any good deals taking into consideration shipping. Maybe if I buy in bulk. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

You should consider a C&R license. The 30 dollars will be offset on your first purchase of ammo, not to mention other savings the vendors give out. Also consider reloading with a progressive at your level of use it's going to save you money.

It's paperwork and 30.00 dollars. You can buy items 50 years or older or on a list the ATF keeps. They are shipped to your door. You log them in a book.

A lot of vendors give very good discounts on everything they sell to FFL's. A C&R is an FFL 03 license so you cannot engage in the business of selling guns. It sounds as if your first ammo order would pay for the license.

wow....... Thanks for the heads up. That is awesome. You're right. One order would pay for itself.

The downside is I'll start lusting after a whole new realm of firearms .)

I highly reccomend the Dillon XL650 with the power case feeder. I have loaded LOTS of ammo on mine, and you can do it in short order. Good luck
