haven't been to lgs past few weeks and when i went this AM picked up 4 100 rounders of cci minimags $9.95 which is not too bad and what I've been willing to pay for cci minimags for the past year.

this afternoon after a haircut, decided to swing by the local Dick's. they had full shelves of cci minimags. 300 rd box of cci tactical, fed automatch.... they were buy 1 get 50% and no limit so i bought 4 boxes of fed automatch , 4 boxes of 300 rd cci tactical, 4 boxes of cci minimags which comes out to fed automatch $18.75 /box similar to WM prices, cci minimag 100 $7.50/box and 300 rd tactical $22.50/ box.

i hope this is a sign of things to come. i had just ordered a volquartsen barrel for my smith and wesson victory this AM and my son and i have been going through 300 to 400 rds 22 lr each range session. he also just discovered the fun factor of a 10/22 last outing which he shoots better my cz 455 ultralux.

Picked up a box (100) Remington Golden Bullets at our local WalMart this morning for $5.00. I took one box, guy behind me took two. I ask the clerk to save some for the kids.

i used to have 22lr only range days. 1 out of 3 range outings. it was amazing to see the fed automatch stacked 4 boxes high and 4 deep on a 4 to 5 foot shelf.

about 2 months ago the local dicks had the 325rnd federal auto match on sale. I bought the last 14 boxes 6.6 cents a round after tax

I nearly walked away, but I told myself the new post sandy hook prices are never coming down.

with my 4,000 round stash of 22lr ammo, I am all set for few years
Recently, I just feel that low recoil of 22 guns gives me no satisfaction :-(
I can afford to go and buy more 22lr ammo right now, but why when I have enough of those for my needs.

I have to agree. I rarely, if ever shoot 22lr anymore since you can reload 9mm at or below 10cents a round

Ill still buy 22 tho. im buying just about every ammo or reloading deal i can get.

November is coming. 1 candidate being anti gun the other was anti gun up untill 3 years ago or so....2nd amendment is screwed

Academy had Remington Golden Bullets at $28/525 and $79/1400 over the last several weeks. Limit 1 box per person per day. I snagged ~6800 rounds over three weeks. I hadn't been able to find bulk 22lr for a decent price in several years. To celebrate I also bought an S&W Victory target pistol. Pew pew pew pew.

I was running low on my varmint ammo for my squirrel gun and the last gun show I went to I finally found some. I bought a box because I had had such a hard time finding any. I paid the piper for it, though. Then as my luck runs, I saw some at the local Wally World a couple of weeks later. Oh well- I supported a local economy. The box on top is my almost empty stash from several years ago. What a spread in prices!

Sorry to hear that there is still a shortage of .22 LR in some places. I see it around here (Central Texas) all the time. CCI, Winchester, Remington all on the shelf at about 8.5 cents a round. Hopefully the days of gun show jerks charging 20-25$ for 100 rds of CCI Mini Mags (which I saw a couple of years ago) is long past.

As above, our local Dicks has a ton of Federal Auto Match, but not that good of price. I have maybe 6-7k of .22 . If they have the 50% off the second I'll still get a thousand more. Wanna get to at least 10k.

Yup...you guys hang in there!

Our local independent shop has been increasingly awash in .22 for the last 3 or 4 months - his shelves are chock full of .22, and no doubt he has some in the back.

He usually charges around $5 / brick more than Walmart prices.

I've actually found .22 on our local Walmart's shelves a number of times recently during the middle of the day - apparently the local flippers can't get rid of what they have, so they're not wiping out Walmart early mornings on the day it arrives.

with the exception of cci where I'm willing to pay 10 cents a round, I only buy at Walmart prices for bulk ammo. thus even if they have it $5 dollars more than WM I never buy it.
there was a 2 year period where I shot only about 300 rds of 22 lr.

gander's web site still has 325 rd boxes of federal target grade 22LR for $24.95 with free shipping. max 5 boxes. been there for several weeks. I got my 5 boxes. if it is still up in a few weeks I may get some more.

nothing at walmart the last year or so except 22LR shotshells., although lately they have put back up markers on a shelf for several varieties of 22 so they must have it now and then.

While I've been able to find .22 on occasion at Wally world (LGS has it usually but at 2x ww prices) What I have not seen is the Federal 525 value packs. I see Automatch fairly often, but the red/black box of the Federal is a unicorn.

Saw a bunch of Automatch at Dicks the other day for I believe $24/$25 per bulk pack. Still a bit rich for me when I have a fair amount. But it was there. I would have bought some if I needed it.

I got lucky and found some .22 at a local Walmart, bought my 3 box limit. It was the Automatch 325 packs. They have been out since. Dicks locally has none in stock. Cabelas has the 325 packs for $4 more than Walmart and regular CCI for $5 a box and a couple of weeks ago the regular Federal blue box .22 40gr was $2.99 a box, they sold out before I could get too many. I did manage to find some Mini Mags though so I was happy at that.

I sorely wish it was that way here.

LGS are still getting 5.00/50rd for Armscor and similar. Walmart and Academy, forget it. Gone as soon as it comes in.

Missouri is behind times, maybe people will stop panic buying and hoarding in a couple more years.

I haven't shot any .22 in years.

Monday, the new Dicks in Gainesville a couple of 325 boxes of Federal Auto Match Solids at $25 each plus tax.

It is not often I get "carded" at "Over 60" so that was a delight.

Did not really "need" more ammo, but it was there which was nice so......

Used the excuse that I had used up some ancient Wildcat for the scouts last month.

They had maybe 30 boxes when I left.

They had it during the grand opening after the 4th, but the cashier lines were an hour long and my time was not worth it. Same-same with tennis and camping equipment the kids wanted.
