My stamps came in yesterday, submitted 3/21.

So it could be worse, but...

Now I need to find someone with subsonic .22 in stock. :scrutiny:

eForms or hard copies? I would assume the latter given the 10 months you had to wait.

Grats!

I found Plated Sub 22 at Midway and PSA last week. Stocking up myself for when my Sparrow gets here. Just keep an eye on 'em; they come in stock every now and then.

Good this made my day. I filed on April 16th (form 4)

Looking at NFATracker guys who filed early/mid March of 13 are getting their stamps now.

Hope it won't be too much more of a wait.

My dealer called yesterday to tell me my Form 4 (paper) stamp has arrived. It was mailed sometime in April and the check was cashed April 30.

Zounds. Per my other thread, I received my form 4 for a Guardian 9 can approval in under 3 months. Sent the forms USPS Priority Mail.

Things do seem to be picking up. Feb 2013 they were taking 6-8 weeks to cash checks!

Here are the paper forms I am waiting on (I've got an e-form for a SBR going too):

TiRant 45:
Forms Sent: 5/31
Check Cashed: 6/11
Pending: 8/13

22 Sparrow SS:
Forms Sent: 6/4
Check Cashed: 6/13
Pending: 8/13

AAC Cyclone:
Forms Sent: 6/25
Check Cashed: 7/15
Pending: 8/22

M11a1 (Mac 11 clone):
Forms Sent: 11/4
Check Cashed: 11/13
Pending: 1/14

I suspect I may have a happy March or April. Then GenII Lage M31a for the M11 a1 should be shipping in March too (the Mac 10/9 version is already shipping).

Mike

LGS sent in form 4 for my Sparrow SS on 4/5/13.

Stamps can in 2/24/14

Picked up 2/25/14

Sent in a form 4 for AAC 7.62sdn on 4/25/13

Still waiting on that one.

Here is my Data point.

Got the call from my NFA dealer today (who also happens to be my very best friend) that my stamp came in today.

So 325 days from mail drop (April 16, 2013) to Stamp at my dealer. 10 months and 19 days.

Sunday I go get my son his first "shift" motorcycle, (He's moving up from his KLX 110 to a TTR 125) and swing by and get my Sparrow.

It will be a GOOD DAY!

I'm been following NFA threads for years and would like to know why it takes so long to do class II transfers. I live in Illinois where C+R holders can own SBR now. I would like to convert several of my SA but am concerned about the time frames extending out close to a year. Is the BATFE making it harder to transfer by design or what?

It's not that the ATF is making it harder or deliberately trying to be slow, it's just that there are so many people applying for transfers that the few examiners that are working in that department are overwhelmed. Occasionally you'll hear things about them getting more examiners, but I'm not sure if those rumors ever panned out.

Well...I've got three boxes of subsonic CCI .22 Shorts...

If work were taking me back to the Charleston, SC area any time soon, I'd send you a PM and meet up. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening in the near future.

I suppose I could figure out how to ship them UPS or FedEx if you really need some. Lemme know.

I have 4 stamps outstanding. BATFE "suddenly" started estimating approval time: 11 mos

Just filed my first eForm. They say 3 mos - we'll see. Maybe it will cross my other three.

Check cleared, 22Apr2013, got the call from my dealer this morning, darn near dead nutz on 11 months.

They'll be at a gun show here this weekend so I'll pick it up Saturday morning and save myself a drive.

I hope the Eforms times hold at 90-100 days, I've got several waiting from early January.

Just got a call at 7:00 pm last night that my Sparrow and TiRant Form 4s are in! About 9.5 months. Getting better. My Form 1s from Jan of last year took 11 mo.

Ironically the Cyclone was the first one purchased around 2/8/13 but the dealer to dealer transfer was help up for some reason. It's the Cyclone I want most of all now that I have my 300 BLK up and running but I will have fun with the Sparrow. I don't have my Mech Tech barrels threaded yet for the TiRant and there is another 4-6 weeks or so to go on my Gen 3 Glock E-Form for my Roni. I'll see how well it works subcaliber on my 7" 9mm AR upper.

If I had to do it again, I'd buy from someone with an indoor range to at least have conjugal visits during the long waits.
