Did the search thing, but didn't find a good answer.

OK, I need a good dress, leather belt for concealed/open carry with an OWB holster.

Are there any belt makers that do odd sizes (35, etc.)? Alternatively, I'd welcome suggestions on belt makes where I don't have to size the belt to the exact hole I will be using forever and ever, from this day forward, and no other hole shalt thou use. I gotta tell you, it's a PITA -- depending what I'm wearing and which hole I have to use for the occasion, my rig is just tight or loose enough to be annoying. I'm looking for something like a nice, dress leather version of a wilderness belt that allows for minute fit.

Thanks.

Call Rob Leahy at Simplyrugged.com . I just bought and am very happy.

Any length, your choice on finish. It's rigid enough to hang a heavy gun on and it won't twist or sag. Looks sharp too.

Go with the beltman and get him to do your belt with 7 holes 3/4" apart instead of 5 holes 1" apart. That gives you a bit more flexibility in sizing.

I have the 5 hole version and I wear it in the middle hole when I OWB carry and one hole less when I IWB carry. No problem at all.

His belts are VERY nicely finished too. I highly recommend the horse hide option.

They are stiffer and they don't allow the holster and gun to sag or shift. All in all much more comfortable than a regular belt.

Take your belt and grasp it on the edges and try to flex it. It likely will. My beltman one will not. I wore out half a dozen 20.00 belts before I broke down and bought one for 90.00. Doubt I'll have to buy another one any time soon.

Unless I decide I need one in black.

You won't get the infinite adjustability of the Wilderness in any leather belt. However, Beltman can make your belt in whatever measurement you specify (coincidentally, mine is also 35"), with seven holes 3/4-inch apart. For best support of a heavy gun - as well as most holster loops/slots being made that size - I suggest 1 1/2" width.

I don't know exactly what your tastes are that would qualify a gun-belt to also double as a dress-belt, but I must say that Milt Spark makes a belt that I can find no complaint with.

Their belts are custom-made to order - they would have no problem making your size.

Of course they might have a bit of a backlog of orders to get through before they get around to making your belt, but quality comes at a price - the price at Milt Spark being a long wait for your order.

+1 for Galco.

This belt was intended for IDPA, I think. It works very well with a single-stack magazine pouch and a slide holster.

They definitely sag less than a thinner conventional leather belt.

Cant go wrong with the beltman...search "beltman" and look at the reviews. I havent seen a negative one yet.

Not only top notch belts but, top notch customer service as well.

I can personally recommend Loopers.

They're in Oklahoma City, and i've been in the store, bought one of their kydex lined gun belts. Only cost I think $30-35, and it's a GREAT product. Had it about a year and a half now and it's still in perfect condition, even being worn just about every day. Very sturdy, nice dress belt that easily stays firm enough for a gun holster. Wearing mine right now, in fact.

Rafter S Gunleather -- not recommended

I've gotten a few leather products from them in the past and been very pleased, but this last experience has been bad. I ordered a belt in mid-February. They charged my credit card immediately. I have never received the belt. About once a month I check on the status, either by phone call or email. My emails have never been answered, and I have been told on the phone, "It will ship out tomorrow."

I will be pursuing getting my money back through the credit card company.

For those that don't know why they'd need a gun belt, I was the exact same way. As they say, you don't know what you don't know. I thought the belt I had from Sears was just fine for holding up my pants, as well as IWB carry. My wife got me a belt from The Beltman for my birthday, and yeah, I really didn't know what I was missing. I carry a Colt Commander, not the lightweight either, and the comfort level just increased dramatically. If you're gonna drop a grand on a good gun, spend more than $20 on a belt for it. You'll be glad you did.

Another huge fan of the Beltman. I too thought an off the rack leather belt was sufficient. WRONG. The Beltman fixed me up with what I now wear everyday. Makes carrying, even pocket carrying, so much more pleasurable.

Im wearing my Beltman belt right now at work...without a gun. I like this belt so much that it is my go to belt even if I cant carry. The fit and finish is great and its a sharp looking belt. The only bad part is the wait time (it only about a month but I want things now!:D). I also think he makes a belt that uses industrial velcro instead of a buckle, that would give you more adjustability like a wilderness belt, but he will make you a standard belt in any size
