A lesson from history you might find relevant.

Prior to the Australian 1996 Federal Election, the LIberal and National Party's were telling anone who would listen how much they supported the shooting sports. They took out huge ads in Australian shooting magazines in December 1995.

Within six weeks of being elected, the Liberal/National Coalition Government had embarked on the greatest confiscation of privately owned arms in this countries history. Long owned sporting firearms like A5 Brownings
and 10/22 Rugers were taken up and destroyed. "Compensation" was whatever the Government decided it to be, the BSA Raylock .22 which was sold via an add in the "Australian Shooter's Journal" in March
1996 for $200, had a "hand in" price in May 1996 of $60.

In 2002, they done it again, this time targetting handguns.

After being elected, Prime MInister John Howard admitted he "hates guns".

Given Obama's record, if he says he supports legal gun owners, he's probably right, but don't forget, if he's the President, he gets to decide what legal is. You've got a carry permit in your state, and a newly elected "President Obama" decides by Presidential decree to make carry permits ilegal, guess what bucko, according to him you're not a lawful gun owner any more.

I've seen it first hand, I'm an Australian.

Remember, gun control isn't about guns, it's about control.

Obama has always voted against guns, regardless of what he says. We need to be very worried if/when he is elected.
