Does any of you have the mentioned Walther G22 small calibre rifle? If so can you give your comments and opinions about it, like accuracy, reliability, user friendliness. Any comments are welcome as I have laid my eyes on one. Thanks!

I've not shot one, but I've heard they are a blast to shoot, not a tackdriver by any means though. Also, they tend to like the high velocity ammo, and they are a nightmare to clean. I've been looking at them too but decided against it.

I Love Mine

I have had mine since the new year and I love it. Accuracy is fine for fun plinking, you probably wont be winning any contests with it but it is very adequate. I have fed mine a steady diet of nothing but Federal Bulk ammo and she hasnt given me any problems yet. Swapping from Right to left handed (I shoot Southpaw) was a breeze. As far as taking it apart and cleaning really all in all it is not a problem. The only issue the things really have is that when you completely take her apart there are 2 little springs that can get lost easily. Just throw a small piece of tape over them and you will be fine.
For sheer fun factor this thing gets 2 serious thumbs up. Everyone who has shot mine loves it.

Hey Tim
Thanks for the reply, can you give the approx group size? And how's the rear sight? Yeah, it surely do look nice at the cheap ammo and low prize :)

What little I know is.... I was intrigued with its looks so did some reading on it a few months back at www.rimfirecentral.com and elsewhere, and came to the conclusion that I didn't need one due to reports of little tiny springs and other parts flying across the room and getting lost upon disassembly - design 'flaw'. Tiny missing parts is something I'm better off without.

This is my G22. I have an Ultradot 4 on it. It's a hoot to shoot. Mine is pretty accurate. I'm using Winchester dynapoint and offhand I can keep all my shots in side a 2" Shoot 'N See at 25 yards. I'm sure it could do much better with a magnified scope, but I wanted this to be a fun plinker so I went with the red dot. It's easy to clean if you're aware of the two springs that want to escape, but as a previous poster mentioned, a little tape and you're all set. I've actually only cleaned mine once and I've got over 2,000 rnds through it. I just keep it oiled (Win Dynpoint shoots pretty clean). If anyone is looking for spare mags, CDNN carries them now. I never used the "iron" sights that are made of plastic. They didn't seem too impressive.
