Came with a box o' crap I picked up the other day. Feels like cast iron. Any ideas what it might have belonged to? 20230320_185600.jpg 20230320_185551.jpg
It has a single screw hole in the recessed area as viewed from the right side directly above the grip.

Could be, since it was in the same box with the Mossberg wood. The guy said he thought it was homemade, but I dunno. I wouldn't wanna shoot any shotgun bigger than .410 with that thing in my shoulder.

I sort of recall this. Cannot remember the company (can't remember if I like chocolate or strawberry better, either) but the early to middle 1970s come to mind.
The comments regarding comfort are well taken. Of course we we tougher men in those days. Or it may explain my memory...

The biggest selling point of this was compactness, not comfort. As I recall, none of the folding stock shotguns were pleasant to shoot.

I like Sgt. Mike's answer... 500 or 870, with the 500 sounding more correct. I had one of those early stocks for my 870, but it looked better quality. Mossberg always had more of an "economy" component to it...lol (Sorry folks, not trying to start anything, just making an observation)
