Any muscle memory issues switching between an 870 and a 500/590?

I have used both for a long time. I don't have any trouble switching between them for hunting. The Mossberg is lighter, rattles a little more and the tang safety has come loose and has broken. The Remingtons feel more solid and have been a little more reliable for me but either is pretty good and the fit is very close to the same. Wingmasters and Wingmaster Express are all 870's. The main difference is the lower quality finish and some express 870's have cheaper parts. There have been many variations of them over the years and the same can be said of Mossberg 500's.

I just replied to the BPS post, and my main complaint was the tang safety. I started out with a Rem Model 31 in 20 gauge, and 13 years later got an 870 Wingmaster. Then 10 years later bought the BPS. My son got the BPS after a few pheasant hunts. He had just graduated from a single shot H&R. So the tang safety was not a problem
