Looked over a re-vamped one yesterday on whim and was pretty impressed with it.

I didn't like the first ones at all but they have fixed my 2 major complaints---the horrible trigger and the thumb slicer safety.

Fully adj sights
Reversable back straps
17+1 shots
Slim and trim
American made
and quite a bit cheaper than a Glock

Should I drink the Kool Aid??

I'm actually considering one myself.

I have read some good reports on the handling and accuracy of the SR9.

I saw one new Saturday at the local gun show that was $399.00 out the door.

I almost got it but I want to sell my Ruger P95 before purchasing a new one.

I like the extra capacity, adjustable grip, Adj. sights, and the narrow design for CC.

Let us know if you take the plunge and give us a range report.

I have a post recall one, and I love it. It's very accurate, and I've had no malfunctions in rounds. If I could find a decent holster for it, it would be in my carry rotation. Great gun for the price.

I don't own one but I shot one belonging to a friend over the weekend and was generally unimpressed. His SR9 is new, so the trigger will likely break in over time, but it was very stiff. The gun would not go back into battery every time it cycled, although this improved as we shot it. It was doing it with every single shot, but when I shot it, it only did it twice during shooting a full magazine (16 rounds?). I thought the sights were marginal, the trigger stiff, and I didn't appreciate the quasi-unreliable nature of the gun, but I shot it well, and it's thin with a good capacity, so a good potential CCW gun. I think the reliability should improve as the gun breaks in, and the trigger will improve as well, so I'm reserving judgment. Now if Ruger could only improve the trigger...........

I have over 1000 rounds through mine. Hollow points, FMJ, 115-147 grains,it has gone bang everytime without fail. The trigger was a bit rough after getting it back from the recall and got better over time or I just got used to it. I also had a hard time finding a CCW holster for it. Ended up getting a Clipdraw for it and it works great. Buy the ticket, take the ride.

I've put a few rounds through a brand new one and had the same opinion of the trigger. It's a little stiff and sticky at first. I'm confident that it will smooth up over time. As for shooting, it was pretty nice actually. The grips were thinner than most polymer frames which feel nicer for me because I have small hands. I like the sights too. Overall, I'd say it's a great polymer gun. We'll have to hear more from people who have put more rounds through theirs to see if the trigger smooths up.
