Any reason NOT to buy this?

I ended up with a Stevens shotgun for the same reason. LGS had a smokin' deal, buy a case of 00 buck at a slightly inflated price and they gave you the shotgun. I function checked it with skeet loads, patterned with the buck and dialed in the peep sights with slugs. Became a bedside gun.

Besides, there's always the chance of needing an extra shotgun for deer season, range plinking, whatever. And the Maverick you picked up is a proven performer. Just like the Mossbergs, they won't ever be "nice" guns, but they work just fine for me.

You are making me think back about 50 years of buying guns, and I cannot remember a single one that I actually "needed", other than the first !
