Any words for palmetto state armory?

I managed to snag one of their 11.5 uppers a while back, $269 w/ BCG & CH!!!! Daily deal. I used to be a frequent page refresher on palmetto's site, for years I'd just check out the daily deals, daily lol. In all that time I never saw them offer 11.5's except for one small window of time, maybe a couple few weeks and then they sold out and I never saw them again. I could be wrong, maybe they were available at different times but I don't recall seeing 11.5's except for that one period of time. It has been 100% reliable and is very accurate.

I ordered a good bit of stuff from them, I like their uppers and lowers. The only thing I kind of stick my nose up at is their LPK's but I use some of their lower parts and they work. Just lil differences I notice between in the PSA LPK vs a higher quality LPK. Like the selector feels a lil mushy compared and doesn't snap into place, and other minor things. Eta: I've since added CAR style handguards on it since taking this pic. Looks better imo

Palmetto State Armory used to have a budget line, I forget the name they attached to it. Stuff in that line had mixed reviews. I believe it has since been discontinued. Everything I have gotten with the PSA name or other name brand on it, from Palmetto State, has been good stuff.

The budget line was the PTAC. Freedom was the middle line of products, and CHF was the premium line.

My first PSA kit was a PTAC slickside M4gery kit purchased in 2015 and I have never had any of the issues that were reported by other owners.

It's not the most accurate of the AR15s that I own but it is acceptable, and it has been reliable.

I see that OP has received his rifle and hope all is well. I have received good products in timely fashion at amazing prices. No supplier can be 100%, but they stand behind their products. Even the $300 10.5" 300 AAC pistol kit worked perfectly with an $80 Aero lower.

I put one of their rifle kits together back around 2012 or 13. It was listed as a "blemished premium M4 rifle kit." It was blemished the finish had a small spot where it had scrubbed against something on the barrel. The barrel was made by FNH. I ordered a blemished lower from them also. After assembling the rifle the only thing I changed was I went back & put their EPT trigger kit in it. I did not use the lighter hammer spring but the kit made the trigger much smoother. It actually feels lighter than the stock one. I haven't had any problem with it other than some bozo (me) putting the hammer spring in backwards initially. Easily enough corrected.

Actual footage of hammer spring as the installer attempts to put it in the lower.

I feel your pain, brother. :D

Anyone tried PSA brand triggers? I’m contemplating replacing the stock trigger in my Discount Marksman Rifle with either their single stage drop-in or Nickel Boron 2 stage trigger. I have the 2 stage in another rifle, but I’ve not used any others to compare with it.

Out of 2 PSA lowers I only had one glitch which PSA corrected immediately. They sent me shipping papers so the lower could go back free of charge, fixed the problem and returned it to me. PSA really stands behind their product.!!!!
(of course they'd be stupid to stand in front of it.) :)

I have several of the PSA EPT single stage triggers. They are basically a polished and coated mil-spec trigger.

They are crisper than a standard trigger, have less creep, and are slightly lighter in pull weight but I wouldn't consider them to be precision triggers.

They are a good value when you can get them on sale for $30.

I have no experience with any of their other triggers though.

If you want a quality two stage trigger, the Larue MBT-2S is the best bang-for-the-buck trigger on the market at $87 each.

There are better triggers available but they will cost 2X to 3X more than the Larue for a small performance advantage.

The only downside of the MBT-2S is that it has a wide, flat trigger shoe if that matters to you.

It doesn't bother me but some don't like how wide and flat the trigger is.

I have an EPT trigger in the 16” and 20” barreled rifles. The 16” shoots 75 grain Hornady HPBT really well and I was thinking of replacing it with a better version. I’ll look into the MBT triggers. The PSA brand Ni-B trigger is only about $10 cheaper, so if I do end up changing the MBT might be the way to go.

I have one of their single stage triggers - No complaints at all, breaks crisp and sweet. For the price, I don't think you find anything better. (I also have their EPT trigger in another build, and a garden-variety trigger in my truck gun.)

Satisfied customer here. In this modern age of reviews with likes, and other stuff I am not familiar with I really don't have faith in the people giving a bad review. From all the bad reviews I have read 90% of the time the consumer gives a bad rating totally unrelated to the business they dealt with or they themselves have no clue of what they really ordered.

For the most part, I've been happy with PSA
I did order a carry handle that showed up with a crooked rear sight.
They exchanged it but it took quite a while to get the new one, and communication was zero

Only issue I ever had with PSA was the time I ordered a 30 round AK style PMAG and they sent me an aluminum 300 BO magazine. I emailed them and they had the correct magazine in the mail that day.

I asked for a shipping label to send the wrong mag back and was told to keep it.

Have enjoyed them here, so far. Got a PSAK from them. It looks and feels immaculate, price was good, and the shipping was just a tad slow but went without hiccups. Then again, I got it between rushes.
Had it for a good long while now, and between working night shifts and the pandemic, I have yet to actually shoot the thing.

Doubt it's a problem with their ARs, but the AK is tight in places. They modeled it after a respected manufacturer and then tried to build it to American standards. AKs like being a little loose here and there. This one feels at least as snug and solid as my Russian Saiga did, which is good, and Pmags fit perfectly, which is good, but my steel mags (all the same origin) needed inserted and removed until they scuffed the finish off at the contacts, and a couple Chinese-made 5-rounders won't fit at all.
Maybe not a huge problem, and not unusual with AKs, but still.

I finally got to pick it up yesterday, needless to say I am impressed so far!!! I was surprised that the BCG was actually nitride instead of phosphate as I had expected. (Mpi marked bolt) everything is tight and within spec.

The quality appears better than my old bushmaster patrol model. My troy battle sight is en route as I type this. Contemplating changing to a rail but I will probably refrain for now!

I proudly join the psa club. Nice ar for the money. Now it needs some range time!

My psa stripped lowers are in spec, their house AR mags (DH) are good, and I know two people with complete carbines. One required some lock tight and retightening gas block screws then it ran like a champ through a 1500 round weekend carbine course.

That’s all the psa experience I’ve got

I've been a satisfied customer of theirs for several years.

First time I ordered from them, it was the Freedom lower kit with the adjustable stock. Once I started putting it together, I could find some parts. I emailed them with a list of the missing items. They responded within 24 hours that the parts would be sent to me. Here I had misplaced those parts later that day they responded. I emailed them back about my goof up. They sent the parts anyway. They wasn't worried about them being sent back.

I haven't had any issues, bought my AR as a complete upper and lower. Originally had a premium upper, sold that to my father-in-law to complete his build and bought myself a melonited Freedom upper w/ a free float rail to replace it. Got better accuracy out of the premium, but the Freedom isn't bad.

I am in PSA ( Ridgeland or Savannah stores) a couple of times a week. Purchased, "several" guns and tons of parts from them. No issues at all. Order from their " Daily Deals", well, too much. They have always came thru. Stores are packed as I'm sure online sales match that. No other online or local store I trust more. Great local guys and have had zero issues online. Jam up group and they keep growing. Some great things in the future from them. Just glad I live in SC and have 2 stores close by.

Went to a friends place today, well yesterday, for 4th celebration. He just recently got a 20" Chf a2 psa complete upper with lower build kit. He built the lower on an Anderson stripped lower. I must say that it turned out great, color matched, clean Eben lines between the two halves and real smooth operation. He was shooting 3/4 in groups with it, hot it sighted in at 40 yds as that was all that was all available since the corn was growing too high to shoot over.

19 rounds in all spent cases landed at between 4 and 5 o'clock 3 ft away, all easily found. I took 2 rifles with me but never fired a shot, told him that today is about getting yours zeroed.
