I don't own one but my buddy does. His swede feels like a .22lr compared to my mosin 44 carbine. It's pretty darn accurate too.

have you tried shooting with the other shoulder?

I have a Carl Gustav carbine in a sporter stock, and it is a tackdriver.
Its got a Burris scope on it, and is my antelope gun. I think the recoil is light, lighter than my .270 or 30-06 for sure. I'd recommend the Swede Mauser for the recoil sensitive shooter.
