I have an opportunity to buy one and was wondering a few things:

1 - If you use corrosive ammo in it, like Bulgarian Surplus, do you need to immediately clean it at the range (or spray some Windex in it until you get home and clean it with hot water)?

2 - Does it feed that type of surplus ammo reliably and not cause problems at the chamber (I don't know if the Bulgy ammo is copper-plated steel jacketed, which I heard was a problem in these uppers)?

3 - Do you have to use special AA mags, or will the HK High Reliabiliy mags work well (I've read where some guys have made their own uppers using AK barrels and used unmodified HK AR mags with 28 rounds and no problems) - I just wanted to make sure it would work with the AA .21 Genghis upper

4 - Any other issues, concerns, bitches, kudos, etc. you care to mention about this upper?

Thanks!

hello

I have had no experience with them myself but have been looking for one. If you decide not to purchase it would it be possible for you to set me up with the seller.

I was going to buy one from AA when they still had them, but they would only sell you a whole rifle.
Anyhow, steel case would have been fine, as far as corrosive ammo, clean as any other corrosive ammo, wash out with water, tehn clean normally. It's not instant rust, so you've got plenty of leeway. The 5.45 would work out of a regular mag, but IIRC, you could only do about 20 rnds in a 30 rnd mag.
