I have never heard a single thing about it other than the article in a magazine. are they even being produced?

Yeah the article I read said that accuracy went to crap after like 20 rounds and suggested cleaning frequently. That right there makes me want to pass and just shoot .223 instead.

22 hornet seems better then this one but I'm still curious what it can do.

From the "owners" i've talked to, light bbl cleaning should done every 100 rounds or so, for BEST accuracy...

Savage has made some changes to the triggers and ejectors, so they had stopped production until those were in place, that is why you aren't seeing lots of them every place, forsale. Aftert having said that, my LGS does have them trickleing in...

I've had one for a couple months and I like it....shoots well. The only downside I see to it other than the "ugly" stock is that the barrel is thin....you need to allow ample cool time to shoot pretty groups. The rifle if allowed to cool between shots is well under 1" @ 100 yards. I still haven't got out coyote hunting with mine yet, I'm looking forward to seeing it's performance on critters.
