I have a Bushmaster E2S Target AR with a 20" barrel. This rifle loves the V-Max bullets & especially the moly ones. I'm getting less than 1" groups with the 55 grainers. I've tried AA2230 & Varget so far. My rifle liked the Varget better but these loads are compressed. I'm shooting 27 grns of the Varget under the 55 gr V-Max bullets with a Win - WSR primer. Cases are mixed. Also, no jams at all. Functioning has been perfect.
My DPMS 1:9 20" l Rifle likes the 50gr 55gr 60gr V-Max, 52gr A-Max, and 52gr 53gr Match bullets from Hornady. I used varget but was getting too much inconsistancy with compressed loads and went to BL-C(2) with CCI primers...bullets are seated as long as will fit in mag. All of the above will shoot tight .75" to .5" 5 shot groups all day and under .5" occasionally...it's me not the rifle! It has a Match trigger BTW. Here's what eats them:
