My normal response to this is the SSA-E if you have extra cash. I sold my only one because it wasn't worth the cost to me after I found other options. Such as the LaRue, which is 95% as good, at less than 1/2 the cost. Then the ALG ACT for a decent trigger on a budget.
But then PSA had a store display for their 2-stage Nickel Boron Trigger group for $69...and I had a $50 gift card. So I got one to try. It is not as smooth on the first stage as the LaRue, but it breaks just as cleanly at a very similar weight. It looks to be a repackaged AT3 1005 Tactical trigger (it still says 1005 Tactical on it, so not much detective work needed.) So for the price, the ACT has been bumped off the list to be replaced with a good, solid 2-stage at about the same price. I might even buy fewer LaRue triggers in the future.
