USGI - they'll only old a half cup of sand and still function, and there's upgraded springs, followers and mag pulls for the older ones. I've seen them go in large lots on Ebay for as low as $6 ($108 for 18 mags)

SO? screw 'em. what business is it of theirs how many rounds you stuff in a mag? sure they might have a reason not to let you shoot big boy stuff like a .50 or rapid fire, but they can eat a bowl of poop on the mag size thing. excuse me while i mutter darkly.

Well if there was another outdoor 200yd+ range within reasonable distance from 98003 that has a $5 all day, spotting scope provided, all-you-can-shoot cover charge for non-members, point and I shall scamper off. However its the only one I know short of shooting on private property. It used to be worse; it used to be one-round-per-mag. The stepup to 10 round magazines would be an improvement, albiet they're quite not "there" yet.

I bought all my standard mags during the ban:(

Local gun shop had them like 40$ a pieace :what: :banghead: ...

Not USGI, but they have a stamp or something that says ENGLAND on them. They work flawlessly ,and I haven't cleaned them in about 2000 rounds(yeah, I know it's time).

I also bought a Thermold mag just to check it out. It works fine ,but with the thick plastic body, I have to make sure I seat the rounds fully to the rear when loading,or else reaseating the previous round below the next being loaed gets old...

I say USGI or the ENGLAND marked ones(as I don't think the England mags got much use :D )

Forgot to mention. Grant at G&R Tactical offers upgraded D&H Labelle magazines available with Ranger/Magpuls, upgraded anti-tilt followers, etc...if you're interested in upgraded mags. http://www.gandrtactical.com/mags.htm He is on ARFcom too so they're all pretty competative as far as price matching goes. I've purchased from him personally too and he has my thumbs up.

Theres a lot of great guys at ARFcom offering awesome stuff at awesome prices.
