Are Sig 229 mags the same as Sig 228 mags?

I know someone selling a bunch of Sig 229 mags in 9mm for a good price. I don't have a 229, but I am planning on buying a refurb/used Sig 228.

Are the Sig 229 9mm mags the same as the Sig 228 9mm mags? Or, if they are "technically" different, are they interchangable for practical purposes?

I need to let him know on Saturday, either way.
