Are there any 22 WMR pistols?

Are there any 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (WMR) semi-automatic pistols presently being made, or has there ever been any such gun made?

AMT used to make a semi auto .22 mag pistol.

They did not go over too well. They had serious accuracy and reliability problems.

Grendel also used to make a semi auto pistol with a 30 round mag.

The last one available (in the US) was the AMT automag. You can find them for around $300 used, but owners say the things weren't real accurate.

Excel Arms is planning to produce an autoloader pistol in 22WMR and 17HMR. It was slated for production in late 2003 or early 2004, but I phoned around late November and they said early-2004 at best. Excel Arms is a division of Accu-Tek; Accu-Tek has a website with an online catalog but that has been down for a number of months now:

Accu-Tek previously made very-inexpensive pocket pistols, but in a press release C&P'd in a newsgroup posting, said that they were in the process of moving up to manufacturing low-priced recreational/sporting arms.
An advertisement appeared in the (US) Guns issue in November (-I think-), page 80.

.......A few people on the RimFireCentral forums have been itching/looking for a 22/17 mag auto-loader pistol, but there are none currently available and this is the only one we can find that is planned.

The .22 WMR Automag (IV?) was, to put it mildly, one of the worst pieces of fecal matter ever to come off of a production line in this or any other nation.

You can get a Volquartsen Cheetah in 22 Mag (and .17 HMR, if you want), but it's based on the Ruger 10/22, so it's more of a cut-down rifle than a "true" handgun.

The Automag III was .30 carbine, IV was .45 Win Mag, and V was .50 AE.

Hey, to some people $720 isn't that much.

I used to be a DINK (dual-income, no kids), now I'm a SITKOM (Single income, two kids, opressive mortgage).

I tend to forget the Grendel and Cheetah because I don't want them: the Grendel is a pocket-pistol style arm (short barrel, poor trigger) that goes for $600 used now and the Cheetah costs too darn much considering that I want a regular-style gun, not a cut-down rifle.
People who have Cheetahs say they shoot very accurate tho'.

Forgot, Autotmag III was also in 9mm mag, IV in 10 mm mag.

The other calibers were easy to remember, II for .2X, III for .3X, IV for .4X, V for .5X.
