Does anyone have any experience with these? Been interested in a .22 WMR auto pistol ever since AMT AutoMag had one years ago.

I haven't seen them yet either. It does look interesting though. I'm not sure what I would use it for, but it is a unique gun. Poor man's FN Fiveseven perhaps? :)

Ok will check with a gun dealer to see when they're supposed to be available.
Assuming the pistol works ok, they ought to follow up with a rifle version.

Looks to be an interesting pistol. May have to look in to getting one of those. I saw somewhere it would be out 2nd quarter 2010.

I think they're kind of cool looking. Plus with 30 rounds of .22WMR, I think it'd be a great little survival gun to keep in the car.

The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is the new and improved version of the Grendel P-30.
The Grendel P-30 was made between 1990-1994 and was a .22WMR pistol with a flush fitting 30 round magazine.

Some of the people who worked at Grendel went on to form/work for Kel-Tec.

Not yet. Just talked to CDNN. They have not received any yet. Don't have an estimated date either. Too bad. At $299 I will be picking one up.

I think the George Kelgren, founder of Kel-Tec, was the sole designer of the Grendel pistols.

Im impaitiantly waiting as the 22 maggie is a favorite cal.of mine.
If they function well and I think it will,a mag with 30 rnd. capacity would be
handy for a lot of things.

It might even be a good self-defense pistol.
I know, "Small caliber," but 31 rounds of anything is enough to dissuade all but the most determined attacker.

Plus, it probably has next to zero recoil.

I've actually seen an advertisement in combat handgun magazine for some laser device. The device was fitted on a.....Kel-Tec PMR30! The guy was looking all super serious, like he was engaged in an act of life or death self-defense. I have a feeling they will market this gun for SD in much the same way the FN Fiveseven is marketed. Low recoil HIGH capacity.

I personally feel the 22mag is a very often under rated round.
out of rifle the amount of destruction and impact is way out of proportion to its size,a 22lr its not.On small game and other critters it is devistating.
adding to that the fact that recoil is almost absent you can put rounds on target quite quick. They are loud though out of a short barrel.

When I called they said they would be coming in at the end of April. But that was in Feb.

I kind of wish they were making a .22lr version. If I get a pistol like this, it would probably be just a plinker, so there's no point in the extra power of .22 mag, it's just extra expense.

"I kind of wish they were making a .22lr version."

My thoughts exactly. In .22LR I would definitely get one, only maybe in .22 Mag.

There are a number of Kel Tec guns on my active list. This one is on there. I'm just waiting for them go get back to turning out the stuff they've designed. There are no Sub2Ks anywhere!:banghead:
