Experience with Keltec PMR-30 in .22WMR?

If Kel-Tec starts making a .22LR version, it is a distinct possibility that they will give Ruger's Mark III a run for it's money. Especially if they can price it into the sub-$250 range....

Also, the .22 could be so much more simple because it would only need blowback to operate... whereas the PMR-30 is using a more complex system.

In .22 Mag, I'm thinking about it.... in .22LR I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Kel-Tec is a company with its head on straight, the founder seems to have a pretty sharp sense of what will sell and what people want, and a companion Long Rifle to go with the PMR-30, maybe call it the PLR-30 or something, and eventually a light rifle based on the two of them would be a gold mine for them for as long as they can keep Ruger from copying them.

I plan on getting a P-32 sooner or later just to show some support for them.

And I really like the idea of the PMR-30, even though it will be more expensive to feed than a .22 pistol. Still cheaper than centerfire.

Bill Jordan liked the .22 Magnum quite a bit. He thought a lightweight J-frame in .22 Magnum was a great BUG. He said it did damage way out of proportion to it's size. Thought it did more damage than the .38 Special rounds of the time. Doubt it would do better than say the Speer 135gr. +p or some of the other new rounds. But the low recoil of the round for fast follow up shoots is one of the reasons he liked it. Sounds like the Kel Tec will make a great trail gun. I know quite a few people with reduced hand strength and a .22 is all they can handle. Most have a Ruger MKII loaded with 10+1 rounds of stingers and can shoot them well. 30+1 rounds of a light recoiling .22 Magnum would be a good step up in power and firepower for them.

IMO, the capacity alone places it the SD category.

I said it before: an offender would have to be amazingly motivated (i.e. PCP) to continue to attack after 31 rounds of any caliber.
