Are there any other groups, other than the NRA, that are worth throwing money at for their RKBA efforts? I was reading an old magazine from 1986 where the publisher was very upset at the NRA for their abandonment of machine gun owners in 1984. He then went on to say that that was just the beginning and that there would eventually be a ban on AR-type weapons. He was correct in his prediction. What are your thoughts concerning other groups.

saf and goa are two that come to mind right off the bat

and also your local state group too

here in ny, nysrpa is very good

Good advice - check out the state group that works hard for local issues.

+1 to the JPFO.

You don't have to be a member of the tribe. They are effective, non-compromised and on message.

SAF already mentioned and CCKBA is worthwhile. Tho' I do wish these as well as my friend NRA would send me literature without begging me for at least $35. It gets old.

If you are a leader type, then join your local ACLU affiliate, and agitate for ACLU support of the 2nd Amendment as vigorous as its support of the 1st!

If you are a follower, I don't have any advice.

PHYDEAUX642, The nra will not abandon the ar-15 owners. the problem with the NRA is that 90% of the firearm owners don't belong. The state organizations are also very active in supporting the firearm owners rights. If you don't belong to both of these organizations YOU are part of the problem, not part of the solution. Lip service does nothing to support our gun rights. PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS. JOIN TODAY.
