Are there any pistols that are close to the size and heft of a Beretta 948 in 9mm?

I find myself carrying my little .22 beretta more often than not because its a lot more convenient. Was hoping to find something around that size that is SA or DA/SA that was in 9mm because i reload for that caliber.


So far I have found a couple as possible contenders but its hard to hold these guns in real life as I live in rural alaska and we dont have much a selection here.

Perhaps a cz75? That may be a little big for what your wanting though. However the 948 is a decent sized little pistol.
You could also check out the springfield emp in 9mm.
Lastly a kimber 1911 chambered in 9mm.

Edit to add: Also look at the kahr k9 or kahr t9 chambered in 9mm.
One of those may also be something close to what your looking for.

The SIG P938 is a great choice in a truly sub-compact 9mm, as is the Kahr PM9 though it is DAO. And if your fond of Berettas you might want to check out the Nano.

A 948 is a small frame pistol. Here's one with sibling models 84f and 92fs.


A Rohrbaugh is certainly as small.
Kahr small and medium frame guns... PM, CM, P, and CW.

I don't remember the details (I sort of stopped following firearms for the last year or so between focusing on my pilot's license and getting deployed), but there seemed to be some safety issue or somesuch with the PM9's.

I have three Kahr's.....380, 9mm, and 45acp....they are all striker fired and no issues with mine or any that I've read about on the Kahr forum. A friend has the Sig pictured above and I've shot it some. Fine little gun and functions well.

For SA or SA/DA in a small pistol (I don't know the specs on the Beretta 940) you might add the CZ Rami. The Sig 938 is the smallest SA that I am familiar with.
