Well, for one, their seeming flip flop and indecisiveness on the UBC isnt a good start. No, you're not alone. I just don't agree. What are some examples?
Then theres their response after the last event, that was far from reassuring, and the guards in school thing is just assinine. Why arent they addressing the core of the problem, that being the schools are death zones because they are gun free zones? You wouldnt need guards, who would be easily defeated too by the way, as was shown at Columbine, if anyone choosing to wear a gun were there and unknown to anyone else.
Another very annoying issue is, why is it, in every instance Ive seen on the news and other venues, that when those opposed to guns spew out that machine guns are illegal, almost to a one, those of the NRA, and other "gun people", just stand there, looking like a deer in the headlights, shrug their shoulders, and more often than not, look as if they agree? Whats up with that? Machine guns ARE legal in most of the states, and have been all along, but they say nothing to correct the on going scam that they are.
Same goes for most when they insinuate that scary looking semi auto rifles are machine guns as well.
At the very least, if the NRA wants to at least appear credible, they need to find spokespeople who can openly and aggressively debate/attack these nit wits, and who wont even give them a chance to take a breath. Ted Nugent seems to do that very well. A few more like him would be a good start. You need to loose those who just sit there looking like a dim wit, stuttering and back pedaling at every question or statement put to them.
They also have to give up the compromise crap. The only people who gain from a compromise, are those who are demanding everything, giving up nothing, and are telling you to be reasonable, as its the best way to go. Last I heard, our rights are just that, "rights", and are not open to debate. Why would we even give a "hint" that they are. Why does the NRA?
