Just got this from my Dad. It has 1947 stamped on it. Watched a video on disassembly of one from the 50's and the gun in the video had a piece at the end of the spring where circled. Mine does not. Watched another video of one from 47 and it didn't have that piece. Is it supposed to be there on my model? Mine hasn't been shot in 25+ years and It hasn't been taken apart so it has been shot without that piece.

I looked, they don't have schematics for Model 9.

It looks like the spring rides directly on the striker plunger.

I say shoot it and see how it runs.

There is a pin with a flange on the the Baby Browning and Bauer design. It serves as the cocked indicator. a small pin comes through a hole in the back of the frame. I don't think you need one, but if you have a hole you can buy that part.

I put about 50 rds through one of these .25's about a year ago.

Heavy trigger, but accurate and zero malfunctions.
