Arsenal AK in 5.56. I am considering purchasing one, but I have questions.

The sight above is different than other AK's because that is a Arsenal slr106ur. Its a Krinkov with a shorter piston system. The slr106fr is a AK74 chambered in 5.56 and a slr106f is the same rifle minus the side optics mount. All three are brand new Bulgarian rifles with final assembly done by Arsenal for 922 compliance. American stock, trigger, handguards etc. Arsenal makes a Sgl series which are converted Saigas and they don't have a 5.56 model only 5.45 and 7.62. The 106fr and 106f both come with a muzzle break. They also make a 106cr which used a 90° gas block and no muzzle break. I have a 106fr and a 106ur . Both excellent rifles. My ar is a Colt 6920 and I would not hesitate to grab either AK in an emergency instead of the Colt. These rifles are made to use Bulgarian circle 10/21 mags. Yes there expensive but you gotta have em. I've never had any problem with either rifle and both are super reliable. If you reload these AK's ding up brass real good.

It is a dual flip up site. Not a fold down sight.

I had a SAR3 in 5.56 that I really liked but sold :( now regretting it). It was very reliable with the right mags, like other posters have said. I recently found one or two mags that I didn't include in the sale for some reason, PM me ol' scratch if you want them and I'll throw them in the mail for you.

I picked it up yesterday SLR 106CR

I have sort of wanted an actual parts matching AK built in Europe since the late 90's and this one fits the bill. The side folding stock is also pretty neat. I also received 2 20 round circle 10 mags with the rifle. The fit and finish on this rifle is much better than any AK I have owned. This thing is built like a tank. I will be picking up a PKA red dot or varient for this to keep it original. Pictures will come later. I am considering getting this registered as an SBR and having my local smith shorten the barrel on it, but I might skip that if I can find a long Krink style flash hider that will fit over the barrel.

Pics of the AK and another question.

Here are pictures of the SLR 106CR I picked up. Magazines are on the way too. I am considering making this my first SBR, but I would actually like to get a long flash supressor before jumping through the hoops if I can. Can I get a long Krink flash supressor for this?
