Hm. That's sort of disappointing. Perhaps they aren't selling enough of them to make it worth while for them.

they are taking a $300 rifle and jacking it up to well over a $1000 maybe that is why and the lack of ammo in 5.56. American gun makers cannot stand a guy buying an AK, SKS or norinco M14 for as little as 99-300 dollars, it has to be in the thousands

Arsenal also offers converted Saigas that are stamped. The Bulgarian milled receiver models are going to be discontinued. I have not heard anything about the Russian ones being phased out.

Ed do you know something I don't? I read in the article that they are getting rid of the 5.56 rifles only. It is true that some 5.56 milled rifles exist, but they are not getting rid of milled AK's per say. They are limiting production of milled receiver rifles, but as of late not said they will discontinue making them (information from the Kvar forum). My SLR 106 is a stamped Bulgarian rifle in 5.56 complete with circle 10 on the trunion and Made in Bulgaria stamped on the receiver.
