Absolutely! Let's do it.

I'm in Perris, and my spot is about 20 min away. That's an option also.

Sun/heat don't bother me. We can make a morning out of it to cut down on our chances of heat stroke. ;)

From your map I see house's behind where you shoot and the last thing we need is a .50 BMG round flying or ricocheting towards them. Anyway, as soon as I hear from him that It's in route to him I'll let you know.

It doesn't always work in all situations, but the use of military API bullets in the .50 rifles on somewhat "sacrificial" steel targets (scrap steel, old cars, etc) is actually safer than other .50 projectiles, as they detonate, fracture, and lose almost all their energy at the target, reducing possible ricochets. Something I recently discovered. Also, the .50 Hornady 750 Amax WILL ricochet on occasion.....something I learned recently, too. Perhaps if it were an AP design, it would penetrate into dirt further and ricochet less. However, I realize that local laws don't always provide for the use of such projectiles for fire hazard and other reasons.

I have shot out to 1900 yards with my 110BA in 300WM. This comming week, if the weather holds, I will dial up an attempt at 2000.
This stuff is crazy fun!!!

Good job!

1 thing that could improve your stability and hold is a sandbag (for the front too). I find it steadier by FAR! Just a few socks filled with sand, or you could get a benchbag.

My favorite is the mega-bench bag

I would say it improves my aim by 1/2 to 1 MOA just in shake.

That bag is nice. Is there anything that could be packed in it that would be firm, like sand, but lightweight, so that it could be packed and carried easily? Packing sandbags is a drag.

Dried beans will work, but you need a moister barrier as they are mildly hydrophillic. I have some light weight bags with dried beans that I like a lot. Cheap to make!

I think it was this forum that someone suggested aquarium gravel. Firm but not hard, hydrophobic, and lighter than sand. I haven't tried it myself though.
