No idea on tips for you to do it, but just a bit of fun info.
Cullen Bohanon did it in the series Hell on Wheels too. Great series if you haven't watched it.

No, an Uberti 1860 turned up by JackRabbit1957 over at Cast Boolits...since Outlaw Kid vanished WAY up north.

Yeah...what I said. !!! The kid must have been running from the Comancheros (or customers??!!) the way he took off. We did some great trading before he flew the coop though. But that's okay, man, my 1860 and 1862 are both such great guns now. (after being "turned up" by Jack.

The original 1858 Remington that Eastwood used was modified to take cartridges. It was no longer a cap and ball revolver. The hammer looked to be modified with a hammer mounted firing pin. I suspect the frame window may have been opened up; the cut in the recoil shield to load cartridges was definitely enlarged. I expect Eastwood spent some time practicing the maneuver without looking to get it right on film. He also replaces the cylinder from the right side which would be the correct way with a cap and ball conversion cylinder and I expect with his cartridge cylinders as well. I'd have to watch the scene again to see if he also rolls it slightly as he puts in the new cylinder.

I don't mess with hayburners anymore myself, been bit, kicked, stomped, run through cactus and thrown more times than I care to admit. I have shot from horseback a few time with mixed results.

Yep I worked on a horse for a whole summer once. I had a Arab stallion that you could shoot off of. Or, lay the rifle over the saddle and shoot. He was not a nervous horse...and it didn't hurt having a little shooting range next to his corral when he was a colt. !!!

Once you cook all the poison out of it and add enough smoked pork and onions to mask the toxic taste, I guess. :barf::barf::barf:. I never liked poke salat.

You have to boil it three times using fresh water every time. I can eat it but I'm not crazy about it.

Ya'll can eat your weirdness - in a few hours I will be taking the wife out for prime rib.
nothing better than juciy prime rib with the thin meat sauce and horseradish! Bake Potatoes, something green to be healthy and a large diet Coke!!!!
