Thanks for the heads up. That Eldris looks interesting. Pocket carry for a fixed blade? Or maybe a patch knife attached to the shooting bag strap when using a muzzle loader.

eh......for any task youd use a 2" blade for......a folder is perfectly adequate, and is much more convenient....

I'm interested. I do carpentry work and my razor knife is always dull from cutting drywall. I use a Mora Companion when I need a sharp egde but I don't always need a 4" blade.

I see scallops opening themselves to give up the goodness within....

This might make a good thank you gift for Sis .... if she invites us out on the boat this summer.

I can definitely speak to the handiness!

I've got two almost exactly the same size if considerably prettier:

Though, currently without the handy neck sheath. I normally have no time for that concept but now, seeing the link - I'm thinking to make one for mine.

Todd.

Too small for the batoning crowd, certainly. The thing about owning such a small knife is that one is actually likely to be wearing it in a situation where a knife is needed, rather than left at home. Law enforcement officers are also far less likely to view it as a weapon.

I have a couple of similar small knives - - a tiny Nessmuk design from the defunct Blind Horse Knives, and a Skeleton Key from L.T. Wright.
