I've got the hankering to get a Kirst cylinder for one of my 1851s and have the barrel relined to .357
is there anyone here that does this sort of work?
I know they do it at Kirst/vti though the prices were pretty high and howellsfirearms will do it for 125$.
I plan on buying a barrel off taylors or eBay and getting it relined to reliably shoot 38 spcl..

Has anyone here done this with their barrel?
If so how did it turn out?

Sorry. The website is https://cartridgeconversion.com/conversion-services it’s obviously a new website for Gary. The old website was much more polished with many more pictures of the work he’s done. Good guy. There’s nobody else I would use for this.
